2019 SSI and Spousal Impoverishment Standards

Effective January 1, 2019 the following are some of the new SSI Standards:

SSI Federal Benefit Rate (FBR)
-Individual: $771.00
-Couple $1,157.00

SSI Resource Standard
-Individual $2,000.00
-Couple: $3,000.00

Substantial Gainful Activity (SGA)
-Limit: $1,220.00 (Blind SGA: $2,040.00)

Consumer Price Index (CPI)
Increase for 2018: 2.3%

Effective January 1, 2019 (unless otherwise noted) the following are some of the new Spousal Impoverishment Standards:

Minimum Monthly Maintenance Needs Allowance (MMMNA) – effective 7/1/18- $2,057.50

Maximum Monthly Maintenance Needs Allowance $3,160.50

Community Spouse Monthly Housing Allowance – effective 7/1/18 – $617.25

Community Spouse Resources:
-Minimum Resource Standard: $25,284.00
-Maximum Resource Standard $126,420.00

Home Equity Limits:
-Minimum: $585,000.00
-Maximum: $878,000.00
